Swingin' on nothin' run a fun swing and Lindy hop class in the Portsmouth, Hampshire area. We premote many dances from the swing era.  Lindy Hop is a partnered dance which hails from the 1930/40's.  It is a very versatile dance allowing you to dance to fast, medium and slow music.  It was hugely popular in USA and Europe and was the fore-runner to Jive.

The Lindy Hop scene has been in revival for a number of years and there are thousands of Lindy Hop dancers world wide of all ages.  It is an exciting time to join in and learn this dance as 'new' performers can still rub shoulders with 'original' performers of the 30/40's.  The recent resurgence of Swing music has brought a new audience to the joy of swing dancing.

Swing dancing is a good way to keep fit and socialise on the dance floor, meeting people of all ages.
